'The Bank'
turned out to be a traditional red bricked tall-chimneyed farmhouse on
the south west tip of Cheshire.
John Bourne is a great ambassador for Cheshire Cheese, a tall imposing
man who travels weekly to London's Borough Market by Southwark Cathedral.
He explains the importance of taking time to develop the flavour in keeping
with tradition. The CCC282 designation from 1930's, is proudly displayed
today as maintaining the old Choice Cheshire Cheese standard.
Traditionally handmade using milk produced on the farm from the pedigree
Malbank herd of Friesian cows. The choice is from the traditional Farmhouse
Cheshire, a mature full flavoured Cheshire, an oak smoked Cheshire, an
organic Cheshire and soon the revival of Blue Cheshire.
Available
from The Bank on the B5069 between Malpas and Threapwood, selected branches
of Safeway, specialist cheese shops, farmers markets and Borough Market,
Southwark, London (Fri & Sat).
